Cronos: The New Dawn: Torch Fuel Locations & Interactive Tracking Guide

In the haunting corridors of Cronos: The New Dawn, your most important tool isn't always a gun—it’s the Torch. This flamethrower is your primary defense against the "Unmerged" threat. However, the Torch is only as good as the Torch Fuel you have in reserve.

Fuel is a finite resource used to incinerate enemies and, more importantly, to burn the remains of fallen foes before they can be "recycled" by the environment.

Torch Fuel isn't just for damage; it is a tool for permanent area denial.

• When you defeat an "Orphan," its corpse remains on the ground. If left alone, other living enemies can assimilate these corpses to mutate into significantly stronger forms.
• Using a small amount of Torch Fuel to burn a fallen enemy is the best way to make sure they stay down for good.
• The Torch is excellent for staggering groups of enemies, giving you the breathing room needed to reload your heavier weapons like the Hammer or Javelin.

You can replenish your canisters through three primary methods:

• Exploration: Canisters are often found in industrial areas like the Steelworks or maintenance closets in the Hospital.
• Fuel Dispensers: Every Traveler Outpost (Safe Room) features a Torch Fuel Dispenser. These are your most reliable sources for a full refill before heading back into the fray.
• Crafting: If you are caught in the field without a dispenser, you can craft a canister using 2 Metal Scraps.

Note: Always prioritize using Metal Scraps for Torch Fuel over Handgun Ammo if you are exploring an area with a high density of corpses. Preventing a mutation is much cheaper than fighting a mutated monstrosity later.
